While keeping the cleaning job, she applied and was offered a job as a server at Da Pineapple Grill, close to campus. I knew she would do great because shes just the cutest little server. I wasn't quite sure if she would be able to keep customers drinking glasses full though. At home, if I ask for a drink, she would only fill the glass maybe a quarter full!! That I think was the biggest challenge she had to overcome with that job.
Sometimes good things must come to and end when a better opportunity knocks. Marissa applied for a third job with a company in Rexburg called Vorp Energy. She was offered the job, and has since left her other two jobs to work full time for Vorp. She is the companies accountant, and is very excited to be working in that field again. She loves her job, and enjoys working with her boss.
On Tuesday Marissa left for work, and for lunch along with her sandwich, packed a whopping bag of sour patch kids. She must have eaten at least a pound of those things!
And this is how she felt after work...
She ended up throwing up all night, and texted her boss, Dan to let him know she may not be to work in the morning.
It turns out the sour patch kids she ate was not the main culprit of her sickness. Although it may still have something to do with a "kid"...
At work today, she told her boss she knew why she was sick yesterday. He instantly started laughing, because he knew! He told Marissa that his wife called it as soon as she saw Marissa bring the ginormous bag of sour patch kids to work!
Marissa is feeling much better now, and her boss is completely understanding and excited for us. He said he is extremely flexible with her schedule, and is even willing to set her up with a laptop so she can work from school or home. We are both very excited for the little kiddo.
